Ronny M. LaQuey, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. LaQuey earned his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Houston and entered the practice of Dr. George G. Howe, which was started by his grandfather in early 1905. Dr. LaQuey has held numerous offices in Professional organizations including President of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians, Charter member of the Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association. Also, many years as President of the Southwestern Optometic Society, Education Program Director for the State Association. Dr. LaQuey was inducted this fall into the “Pioneers in Oklahoma Optometry Hall of Fame”, for years of work in advancing primary eyecare in Oklahoma. Dr. LaQuey’s training includes Laser Vision Correction and Anterior Laser Therapy Certification. His general practice includes treating/monitoring patients with glaucoma, diabetes, and cataracts. He specializes in difficult contact lense cases, keratoconus and corneal damage cases. Also, soft and rigid gas permeable lenses for astigmatism. Dr. LaQuey works closely with several cataract, refractive and retinal surgeons to ensure good surgical outcomes. He is certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy with the latest FDA approved ParagonCRT 100 Dispensing System. After many years of serving on the Optometry Board of Directors he is currently serving as Keyperson of the Southwest Legislative Committee. His love for Optometry always allowed him to be active during the many changes in delivery of Oklahoma Therapeutic Eyecare. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
